Betar Australia and its branches run activities for school-aged children throughout the year. With branches in Melbourne, New South Wales, and Queensland, Betar leaders strive to bring enjoyable and educational activities to all. Each branch runs Summer and Winter camps as well as regular activities in between. Annually Betarim from all over Australia participate in a federal camp. We strive to provide a comfortable learning experience for all interested. 

Hineni conducts youth leadership and developmental programs, securing the future of the Jewish community through creating strong and active leaders. We send a group of enthusiastic school-leaving youth to Israel each year on an educational, leadership year course. Many Hineni leaders have gone on to take significant roles within the community, whether in Synagogues, community organisations, governmental organisations and abroad. 

Hashomer Hatzair, also known as ‘Hashy’ amongst the Melbourne Jewish community, is a worldwide Jewish youth movement for kids aged 7 to 18.

As a Socialist-Zionist, Secular Jewish movement, our aim is to provide each of our chanichim*ot with a strong sense of their own personal Jewish and Zionist identity, and to encourage chanichim*ot to think critically about the world around them. 

We seek to create an environment in which our chanichim can grapple with the core values of Habonim Dror on both an intellectual and experiential level. This manifests through weekly programs in our kenim (branches) in each city, frequent machanot (camps), community involvement and culminates in the ultimate Habonim Dror experience – Shnat Hachshara ve Hadracha. 

We run two Federal initiatives, one for Madrichim and one for both Madrichim and chanichim to unite our Sniffim. Through programs such as these, we aim to actively empower, educate and engage tomorrow’s Jewish leaders, through a journey of self-discovery, Jewish development and complete fulfilment and fun,  whilst upholding Bnei Akiva’s values. 

Netzer Australia is a Progressive, Zionist Youth Movement, which aims to inspire and educate the youth of our community. Netzer Australia is run by skilled volunteer youth leaders (Madrichim) of university age who have completed intensive leadership training and education. Netzer uses informal education to run a variety of activities that are both fun and intellectually challenging. Netzer aims to empower the youth and encourage them to be active participants of the Progressive community. Netzer Australia has groups in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth who meet regularly. 

Tzofim Tzabar, the program in Australia, Europe and North America for young leaders, is part of the Tzofim movement (scouting movement) in Israel. The activities of Tzofim Tzabar are held under the standards and principles of the Youth Movement in Israel, including social and ethical activity. The activities are for youth in grades 3-12 and involve weekly activities every Sunday. Through the year, various activities are held aside from the weekly activities such as camps, trips, ceremonies, holiday activities and more.
