COVID-19

When making our COVID-19 policies JAZY takes into account AZYC and S.A. state guidelines.

If any of our policies are unclear or if you have a question/concern please contact us via email at jazy.adel@gmail.com

VACCINE POLICY

In accordance with AYZC guidelines; all leaders and junior leaders must be fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved in Australia at least two weeks prior to the date of any activity.

All participants aged 12+ will have to be fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccine before attending monthly programs, outreach sleepovers and camp.

For more information please view our full policy here.

MASK POLICY

We may require that ages 12+ wear a mask during indoor (and in some cases outdoor) activities.

MEDICAL EXEMPTIONS

If your child has a valid medical exemption for the vaccine or masks, please email us with proof of exemption.

CLASSROOM AND CLOSE CONTACTS

If your child, or someone in your immediate family has been notified that they are a classroom contact we ask that your child does not attend a JAZY activity unless they can present proof of a negative PCR or RAT test, or if it has been 14 days since the notification.

If someone in your immediate family has been notified that they are a close contact  then state rules apply and your child cannot attend any JAZY activity for 14 days from the date a test was taken.

JAZY PROGRAMS

As much as possible we will try to run in-person programs, however sometimes this may not be possible, in these cases we will try to communicate a change of plans as early as possible.

In the event that we have to cancel a program, we will try to organise an online program. We may have to cancel a program without much warning, in this case we are unlikely to run an online alternative.

If your child attends a JAZY program (or sleepover) and then tests positive for COVID we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can ensure that all possible contacts are informed and can be tested.

If during a program we suspect that your child may have COVID we will contact you and ask that you come and collect them to be taken for a test.

OUTREACH SLEEPOVERS

As outreaches involve interstate leaders we will be taking the necessary precautions to minimize the threat of COVID as much as possible.  All leaders must be fully vaccinated and will need to comply with state rules regarding RAT or PCR tests.

If interstate leaders test positive or can't come to S.A. we will still run a sleepover if possible. If this is not possible we will again attempt to communicate the change in plans as early as we can.

If during an outreach we suspect your child has COVID we will ask you to come and collect them.  If your child or an immediate family member becomes notified that they have COVID or are a close contact we ask that you contact us as soon as possible and come and collect them.
